Man arrested after standoff with sheriff’s deputies in Coulterville
PERRY COUNTY, Ill. (KBSI) – A man accused of shooting a gun toward his girlfriend and another person faces charges in Perry County, Illinois after a standoff with sheriff’s deputies.
Deputies responded to a call of shots fired on Golden Rod Road in Coulterville at 9:09 p.m. on Nov. 2.
Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm System was contacted. Officers responded and set up a parameter.
The stand off lasted into the early morning hours. The suspect was found hiding in a nearby field, according to Perry County Sheriff Steve Bareis.
Daylin McCarty, 24, faces a charge of aggravated discharge of a firearm.
He was taken to the Perry County Jail.
