Man arrested at Paducah hotel facing numerous drug trafficking charges
PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – A McCracken County man was arrested at a Paducah hotel for numerous drug trafficking offenses Monday afternoon.
Sean L. Irons, 43, of Olivet Church Road in McCracken County faces charges of trafficking in Fentanyl 2nd offense, trafficking in cocaine 2nd offense, trafficking in methamphetamine 2nd offense, trafficking in marijuana less than 8 oz. 2nd offense, trafficking in synthetic drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Detectives received information on April 10 that 43-year-old Sean Irons was staying at a Paducah Hotel located at 5120 Hinkleville Road and selling Fentanyl pills.
During the investigation detectives contacted Irons via cell phone. Irons agreed to sell a quantity of Fentanyl pills, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives found Irons on the parking lot of the hotel in a vehicle and arrested him.
Detectives searched Irons and found a bag of Fentanyl pills, a bag of marijuana, a bag of synthetic marijuana, and $1,190, according to the sheriff’s office.
During a search of the vehicle detectives found 12.5 grams of cocaine, according to the sheriff’s office.
They obtained a search warrant for a hotel room that Irons had been frequenting on the property.
Detectives found additional Fentanyl pills, additional cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, and additional money believed to be proceeds of illegal drug sales, according to the sheriff’s office.
Irons has an extensive criminal history with numerous prior felony convictions for drug trafficking.
He was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
