Man arrested for possession and no valid driver’s license

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, IL (KBSI) – Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Aug. 21. During the stop they discovered the driver, Eric R. Gottberg, did not have a valid driver’s license despite operating the vehicle. While finishing the stop, K9 Shadow alerted officers to the smell of narcotics in the vehicle. Deputies located a white powder in the driver’s seat which later tested positive for cocaine. Later in the search, they found a plastic bag containing cocaine.

Gottberg was cited for the following:

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Speeding
  • No Valid Driver’s License
