Man arrested in Caruthersville assault case

CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — A man was arrested after an assault report led police to a scene where a victim said he was beaten with an aluminum bat.

Richard Wells Jr. was taken into custody at the scene in the 1100 block of Madison Avenue early Saturday morning.

Wells is being held without bond at the Pemiscot County Jail on a charge of second-degree assault.
