Man arrested in Mayfield on multiple charges following altercation

MAYFIELD, Ky., (KBSI) — Officers with the Mayfield Police Department responded to a physical altercation between a man and woman on Monday, Feb. 17, at the corner of South 9th Street and West Hale.

Upon arrival, officers found 38-year-old Richard Lowe intoxicated. He was detained without incident.

A female involved in the altercation was transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. She declined to press charges against Lowe.

Lowe was found to have four active arrest warrants and was taken into custody. Due to his intoxication, he was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for clearance before being lodged in the Graves County Restricted Custody Center on charges including:

— Public intoxication on a controlled substance
— Two counts of failure to appear in Graves County District Court
— Probation violation
— Probation warrant for mandatory reentry supervision violation
