Man arrested in St. Francois County on child sex crime charges
ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control announced the arrest of Kolt E. Cain, 18, of Farmington, on charges of possession and promotion of child pornography.
The arrest followed an investigation by the division’s Special Victims Unit, which began with a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in June.
Cain was taken into custody on August 15 after investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in St. Francois County. He is being held at the St. Francois County Jail on $100,000 bond.
The St. Francois County Prosecuting Attorney has formally charged Cain with three counts of felony possession of child pornography and one count of felony promoting child pornography.
