GRAND RIVERS, Ky., (KBSI) — Livingston County Sheriff’s Office said deputies arrested a man Sunday after a homeowner reported finding him inside her residence.

Deputies were dispatched Jan. 11 to a home on J.H. O’Bryan Avenue after the homeowner returned and discovered a man inside. Authorities said the suspect took items from the residence and fled before deputies arrived.

Deputies later located and arrested Thomas Woodruff, 58. He was charged with second-degree burglary and third-degree criminal trespassing.

Investigators said Woodruff was already out on bond for a prior third-degree burglary charge that is also under investigation by the sheriff’s office. He also has two previous third-degree burglary convictions from incidents in 2018 and 2019, along with additional criminal convictions.

The case remains active and is being investigated by Deputy Greg Moyers.
