Man arrested on gun, drug charges after police serve search warrant at Cape Girardeau home
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – A man faces drug and gun charges after authorities served a search warrant at a home in Cape Girardeau Wednesday morning.
Darieth Nunley, 32, of Cape Girardeau faces charges of class B felony of trafficking in the second degree, class C felony delivery of a controlled substance and class D felony of unlawful possession of a firearm.
Officers with the Cape Girardeau Police Department assisted the Southeast Missouri Drug Task Force served a earch warrant in the 2800-block of Themis around 9 a.m. on June 26.
While officers made entry into the front of the home another officer saw a Nunly fleeing from the backdoor of the home.
Police say Nunley refused commands to stop and was arrested by officers.
Police say he was in possession of a backpack containing about 200 grams of suspected fentanyl, suspected cocaine, prescription pills along with drug paraphernalia.
Officers say they found a firearm with an extended magazine and several rounds of ammunition when they searched the home.
Nunley is being held on a $30,000 cash only bond.
