Man back in Scott County, charged in connection with Mischelle Lawless murder

SCOTT COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) – A man charged with first degree murder in connection with the killing of Mischelle Lawless is back in Missouri.

Lawless’ former boyfriend Leon Lamb was picked up in Arkansas and brought back to Missouri by Scott County deputies, Friday afternoon.

This comes after Lamb waived extradition on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.

Lamb had been held in an Arkansas jail since declining to waive extradition in December 2024.

The case was reopened in June 2023, with Special Prosecutor Allen Moss leading an 18-month investigation.

A Scott County Grand Jury subsequently indicted Lamb after determining sufficient evidence existed to bring the case to trial.

Lamb is facing charges for first-degree murder and armed criminal action.
