Man dies after early morning shooting in Charleston

CHARLESTON, Mo., (KBSI) — A 29-year-old man died early Wednesday after a reported shooting in Charleston, authorities said.

According to police, officers responded at about 1 a.m. Dec. 17 to reports of gunshots in the 300 block of Oliver Street. While officers were en route, police received additional information that a person had been shot.

Officers arrived near 309 Oliver Street and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported by ambulance to a hospital, where he later died.

The victim was identified as Rontavious Clark, 29, of Charleston.
