Man dies after hit by vehicle in Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY, Ill. (KBSI) – A man died after he was hit by a vehicle in Jackson County.

Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Murphysboro Lake Road on Friday, February 2 around 5:50 a.m.

He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, then transported to a St. Louis hosptial for further care where he died on February 5.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation and determined Durborow was hit by a vehicle.

Witnessesses confirm he was in the road before he was struck.
