Man driving miniature motorcycle facing drug charges

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (KBSI) – A man driving a miniature off road motorcycle was pulled over for a traffic violation and now faces drug charges.

Thomas L. Burnett faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, no valid driver’s license, operating uninsured vehicle, disobey stop sign and operation of non-highway vehicle on public roadway.

Williamson County Sheriff’s Office deputies saw a miniature off road motorcycle traveling north on Hafer Road near Brownsville Road on February 10 at 2:30 p.m.

Once behind the vehicle, deputies saw the driver disregard a stop sign at the intersection of Hafer Road and West Stotlar Street and continue eastbound on West Stotlar Street.

A traffic stop was conducted and Burnett was found to be the driver. Deputies say he did not have a valid driver’s license.
