Man faces attempted murder, aggravated assault charges after stabbing in Calloway County
MURRAY, Ky. (KBSI) – A man faces charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault after a woman was stabbed at a home on Faxon Road.
On September 12 two people tried to stop Jeremy Owens from stabbing but one ended up getting stabbed and the other struck in the face, according to Calloway County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
Sheriff’s deputies say one of the victims used a shotgun to fire at Owens, causing a struggle over the weapon. The victims were able to overcome Owens and end the fight, which allowed them to escape and drive to the hospital. They had multiple wounds and were flown to Skyline Hospital.
Police say Owens was found at the home with a gunshot wound in the stomach and was flown to Vanderbilt Hospital.
A warrant was issued due to his need for medical treatment. The warrant was served on November 17.
Owens was taken to the Calloway County Detention Facility.
