Man faces meth possession charge in Williamson County

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (KBSI) – A man faces a drug charge in Williamson County after a traffic stop.

Charles D. Scott faces a charge of possession of methamphetamine.

Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies saw a vehicle commit multiple traffic and equipment violations on October 29 around 10:49 p.m.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop. A K9 conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle and found an odor of narcotics.

A bag was found containing a white crystalline substance and later tested positive for methamphetamine, according to Williamson County Sherriff’s Office.

Scott was taken to the Williamson County Jail.
