Man faces multiple charges after a police chase in Calloway County

MURRAY, Ky. (KBSI) – A man faces multiple charges after deputies conducted a traffic stop on November 19.

A vehicle was found driving at a high speed and when the driver slammed on the breaks the vehicle swerved towards the deputy, according to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say Robert Bramley struck the deputy’s vehicle and then continued on the shoulder of the road. This continued for several miles before he eventually pulled over.

He initially refused to exit the vehicle and would not follow instructions, according to the sheriff’s office.

Bramely was taken to the Calloway County Detention Facility.

He faces charges of fleeing or evading police 1st degree-motor vehicle, resisting arrest, careless driving, speeding 25 mph over limit, failure of owner to maintain required insurance 1st offense, wanton endangerment 1st degree and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol 1st offense -aggravated circumstances.
