Man faces several charges after found unconscious in unrented motel room

WEST CITY,  Ill. (KBSI) – A Herrin man faces several charges after police found him unconscious in a motel in West City.

Someone from the Gray Plaza Motel at 706 West Main Street called the West City Police Department reporting an unconscious male.

Tuesday, an officer found Joshua L. Mueller of Herrin in a room which had not been rented, according to the West City Police Department. Mueller was wanted on active felony warrants in Jackson, Williamson and Franklin counties.

He was arrested and faces charges of three active warrants, several counts of possession of a controlled substance and resisting a peace officer.

Mueller was taken to the Franklin County Jail.
