Man facing armed robbery charge in Energy

ENERGY, Ill. (KBSI) – A man faces an armed robbery charge in Energy.

Tyreon J. Taylor-Ford faces a charge of armed robbery.

Energy police received a report of an armed robbery in the 200 block of Pine Street in Energy at 11:35 a.m. on August 22.

Police Chief Shawn Ladd requested the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Unit begin a comprehensive investigation.

Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Investigators, in collaboration with detectives from the Energy Police Department, identified Taylor-Ford as a primary suspect.

An arrest warrant was issued for Taylor-Ford on August 27.

Investigators tracked Taylor-Ford’s location to Macon County, Illinois where Macon County Sheriff’s Office deputies assisted in his arrest.

Additional arrest(s) are anticipated.
