Man facing assault, strangulation charges in Graves County

HICKORY, Ky. (KBSI) – A man faces assault and strangulation charges after a police chase in Graves County.

Graves County Sheriff’s Deputy Austin Ramage and Kentucky State Police Trooper Matthew Fleming responded to an address on Kentucky 1241 in the Hickory area for a domestic violence complaint on Januray 20 around 10:30 p.m.

It was reported to Deputy Ramage and Trooper Flemming that Ronald Coleman had hit a person in the face and was still on scene at the time of the call.

Coleman had a parole violation warrant from Marshall County for absconding in March of 2023.

Deputies Tyler Crane and Chad Hall from the Graves County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene and found Coleman had ran away on foot and was outside in the weather.

Once on scene it was discovered that Coleman allegedly choked the victim during the fight.

Deputy Tyler Crane and Deputy Chad Hall responded to the scene to assist with the search for Coleman.

Emergency Management was contacted. Two McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies along with a K-9 and a drone responded to assist as well.

After a long search, Coleman was found and arrested.

Coleman faces charges of parole violation warrant from Marshall County, assault 4th degree (domestic violence) minor injury and strangulation 1st degree.

Coleman was taken to the Marshall County Jail.
