Man facing burglary, drug charges in Williamson County

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (KBSI) – A man faces burglary and drug charges in Williamson County.
Timothy J. Buckingham faces charges of residential burglary and possession of controlled substance.
Deputies with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a residential burglary in the 12000 block of Prosperity Road on October 1 at 5:31 p.m.
While responding, deputies were advised that the suspect was driving a black van which was backed up to the door of the home. The caller was able to provide the vehicle’s license plate information.
As deputies were traveling west on Stotlar Road they saw a black Dodge Caravan with license plate information that matched the description provided by the caller.
Deputies stopped the vehicle found Buckingham as the driver.
While speaking to Buckingham, deputies saw multiple items in the vehicle which had been taken from the home.
Buckingham admitted to taking items from the home, according to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.
A probable cause search of the vehicle recovered stolen property and controlled substances.
Buckingham was taken to the Williamson County Jail.
