Man facing charge after police say he walked naked down road in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – A man faces a sexual misconduct charge after police say he walked naked in the road in Cape Girardeau.

Justin Volodymir Rush faces a charge of sexual misconduct – 1st degree – 1st offense.

Police responded to the 500 block of Siemers at 12:22 a.m. on June 8 for a report of a naked man walking westbound on Bloomfield.

Police say he was found walking “completely nude.” The officer says Rush told him he took his clothing off while behind Kohl’s and lit them on fire. He told police he walked to Menards to “look for a ride,” but after not finding one he began walking west on Bloomfield.

Police say he was walking in a residential area and numerous vehicles passed by.
