Man facing drug charges after pulled over for traffic stop

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (KBSI) – A man faces drug and weapons charges after he was pulled over for a traffic stop in Williamson County.

Bradley L. Orahood faces charges of driving while license revoked, possession of methamphetamine and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.

Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies saw a vehicle traveling west on Herrin Road near Clifford Road without vehicle registration on April 17 around 7:59 p.m.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop. They say Orahood said that he did not need vehicle registration.

Deputies say Orahood had a revoked drivers license and told them he had a 22 caliber handgun in the vehicle.

While conducting an inventory of the vehicle in preparation for tow deputies discovered a clear plastic bag containing a white crystal like substance which later field tested positive for methamphetamine.

Orahood was taken to the Williamson County Jail.
