Man found at Cape Girardeau storage units facing drug charges

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – A man faces a drug charge after police in Cape Girardeau a vehicle parked in an abandoned lot at some storage units.

Brandon Likirgus Doran faces charges of possession of controlled substance and stealing – $750 or more.

He is accused of stealing a diaper bag, multiple cookbooks, a breast pump and various other items worth at least $750 around March 24.

Then, on April 10, Cape Girardeau police found Doran’s vehicle parked in the abandoned lot to the east of some storage units. He was sitting in the threshold of storage unit 184 with a female, according the probable cause statement.

Police saw a small plastic zippered baggie containing a white crystal-like substance laying in plain view inside the storage unit about one foot from where Doran was sitting, according to the probable cause statement.

Police say they believe it to be methamphetamine. The preliminary weight was one gram. It field tested for methamphetamine.

Police also found a small tied off corner baggie containing a white powdery substance suspected to be cocaine.
