Man found ‘to be manifestly under the influence of something other than alcohol’ arrested, facing charges in Murray

MURRAY, Ky. (KBSI) – A man faces drug and alcohol charges in Murray after a sheriff’s deputy found him in a vehicle near a business.

He was “found to be manifestly under the influence of something other than alcohol,” according to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office.

Jeremy Kirksey, 43, from Kirksey, Ky. faces charges of public intoxication-controlled substance, possesion of a controlled substance 1st degree, 2nd offense (meth) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A Calloway County Sheriff’s deputy saw a suspicious vehicle by a business near Olive and 12th Street in Murray on May 13 around 1;15 a.m.

Kirksey was in the vehicle was found “to be manifestly under the influence of something other than alcohol and in possession of methamphetamine.”

He was arrested and taken to the Calloway County Detention Facility.
