Man in custody after search warrant served in Saline County child exploitation investigation

ELDORADO, Ill. (KBSI) — One person is in custody after authorities executed a search warrant in a child sexual abuse material investigation in rural Saline County, officials said.

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office said the warrant was carried out in a joint operation with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office, Illinois Attorney General Police and the Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm System/Southern Illinois Response Team.

The search took place near Eldorado, and investigators said one male was taken into custody.

Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing.
