Man injured, facing DUI after crash in Graves County

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A man faces a DUI charge after a rollover crash on Interstate 69 in Graves County on May 14.
Deputies with the Graves County Sheriff’s Office responded to the northbound lanes of Interstate 69 at the 21 mile marker for a single vehicle collision rollover at 10:53 p.m. on May 14.
Ian Henley, 22, of Mayfield, was driving on the interstate ramp of I-69 heading northbound.
Deputies say Henley left the road, traveled into the ditch, then continued back onto the northbound lanes of I-69 and collided with the concrete barrier in the median.
Henley’s vehicle then overturned multiple times and came to final rest in the emergency lane northbound on I-69.
He was trapped inside the vehicle, unable to move but was alert and conscious when deputies arrived on scene.
He was taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center where he was then transferred to Skyline Medical in Nashville, Tenn. due to the severity of his injuries.
After investigation, deputies say Henley was under the influence of alcoholic beverage during the crash.
Deputy Austin Caldwell conducted the collision investigation while Deputy Peyton Jackson conducted the DUI investigation. They were assisted by Deputy Tony Cornwell, Deputy Garret Clark, Mayfield-Graves County EMS, Mayfield-Graves County Rescue Squad and Mayfield Fire Department.
