Man on Nashville, TN 10 Most Wanted List arrested in Mt. Vernon

MT. VERNON, Ill. (KBSI) – Police arrested a man on Nashville Tennessee’s “10 Most Wanted List” in Mt. Vernon.
The Nashville, Tennessee Police Department contacted the Mount Vernoon Police Department requesting assistance in finding 43-year-old Terrance Boyd.
Boyd was wanted on a warrant for statutory rape by an authority figure. He was on the Nashville Tennessee’s “10 Most Wanted List”.
Detective’s believed Boyd was in the Mt. Vernon area.
On Friday January 19, around 3:08 p.m. an officer on patrol saw a vehicle he believed was being driven by Boyd.
The officer initiated a traffic stop in the area of 18th and Lamar.
The driver initially provided a false name to the officer but was able to be positively identified as Terrance Boyd, according to police.
Boyd was issued a citation for obstructing identification.
He was taken to the Jefferson County Justice Center with no bond on the Tennessee warrant.
He will remain there until he is extradited back to Tennessee.
