Man pulled over in traffic stop, found to have 16 arrest warrants
MURRAY, Ky. (KBSI) – Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man in Murray after finding he had 16 arrest warrants when they pulled him over for a traffic violation.
Michael Gouin, 38, no address faces charges of possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense-methamphetamine (Class D felony), possession of marijuana, one indictment warrant (bail jumping), one bench warrant-failure to appear (court date was January 8,2024 on meth possession/resisting arrest/endangering the welfare of a minor and other charges) and 14 bench warrants-failure to pay (various charges to include cold checks/theft of services/shoplifting and other charges).
Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a vehicle at South 4th Street and Sycamore Street in Murray on February 14 around 2 a.m.
A passenger identified as Michael Gouin, 38, was found to have a total of 16 arrest warrants all out of Calloway County.
Sheriff’s deputies say he was also in possession of illicit drugs during the time of this arrest.
He was taken to the Calloway County Detention Center.
