Man sentenced to 15 years for several sex crimes with underage girls

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Nashville, Tenn. man was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Jan. 11 after he pleaded guilty to several sex crimes.

Abukar O. Moallim pleaded guilty to four counts unlawful transaction with a minor, four counts of rape third degree, sodomy third degree, and sexual abuse first degree, according to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.

The charges stemmed from an investigation that revealed he had met two female juvenile victims (one 12 years old and the other 15 years old) via a social media app. The defendant who was 24 years old at the time, alleged that he was 19 years old.

Moallim drove from Nashville to meet with the girls on multiple occasions and had sexual relations with the 15-year-old girl and attempted to have sexual relations with the 12-year-old girl, according to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.
