Man sentenced to 4 Years in connection with 2021 murder investigation

BOLLINGER COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) – A southeastern Missouri man has been sentenced to four years in prison for tampering with physical evidence in connection with the 2021 murder of 21-year-old Brianna Roberts.

Ricky Nanney received the sentence Wednesday after pleading guilty in January.

He received credit for time served.

Nanney’s son, Eric Nanney, was convicted of Roberts’ murder and sentenced to two life terms without parole plus 23 years.

Kaitlyn Morgan also pleaded guilty to charges related to Roberts’ death and received a 30-year sentence.
