Man wanted after traffic stop in March arrested in Murray

MURRAY, Ky. (KBSI) – A man wanted after a traffic stop in March was arrested on December 1 in Murray.
Albert J. Thompson, 37, of Puryear, Tenn. faces charges of no registration plates, failure for non-owner to maintain insurance, possession of controlled substance 1st deg 1st offense-methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating on a suspended/revoked operator’s license.
A traffic stop on New Providence Road in March 2023 prompted an investigation that led to an arrest warrant for Thompson.
It was found that the drugs found on that traffic stop were believed to be his, according to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office.
Thompson was found in Murray on December 1.
He was arrested and taken to the Calloway County Detention Center.
