Man wanted on fentanyl charges, physical altercation with deputies leads to arrest

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — A Louisville man wanted on fentanyl trafficking charges was arrested Saturday evening after a scuffle with Graves County sheriff’s deputies.
Steven M. Brown, 44, was taken into custody after deputies responded to a disturbance call at a residence on Ky Hwy 58 East around 9:30 p.m.
According to authorities, Brown had stopped at the residence to use the homeowner’s phone but became disruptive and threatening. When deputies arrived, a physical altercation ensued, resulting in a shoulder injury to one of the deputies, who was treated and placed on medical leave.
Methamphetamine was found in Brown’s vehicle, and a records check revealed he was wanted in two Kentucky counties: Barren County for leaving the scene of an accident and operating on a suspended license, and Monroe County for trafficking in fentanyl and being a persistent felony offender.
Brown was transported to an out-of-county detention center.
