Man with active warrant arrested

WILLIAMSON, IL (KBSI) — A man has been arrested in Williamson county for having an outstanding warrant.

Deputies say they observed a car, operated by the registered owner who had an outstanding arrest warrant.

William Johnson was traveling south on Cambria Road, when deputies pulled him over.

during the traffic stop K9 “Shadow” did a free air sniff of the car which resulted in a positive alert to the odor of narcotics.

a probable cause search of the car located a plastic bag that contained a crystalline substance that later field tested positive for Methamphetamine.

Johnson was cited for possession, and transported into the custody of Williamson County.
