Marion, IL police investigating report of assault
MARION, Ill. (KBSI) – Marion police are investigation after they say a person sustained minor injuries when she was assaulted and battered by a man.
On August 23, around 6 p.m., the Marion Police Department received a 911 call reporting that an unknown male suspect, armed with a knife, had entered a home on Rolling Acres Drive.
Police say the man assaulted and battered the female occupant. She sustained minor injuries.
The suspect ran away from the scene before the officers arrived.
The suspect remains unidentified.
Police urge anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area or has any information related to the incident to call the Marion Police Department at 618-993-2124.
