Marion, IL police looking for pickup truck driver after fire hydrant damaged

MARION, Ill. (KBSI) – Marion police are looking for a suspect after a pickup truck struck a fire hydrant.

A city of Marion fire hydrant was struck by an older model crew cab Dodge Ram truck with a silver tool box in the bed on October 31 around 5 a.m.

It caused extensive damage to the fire hydrant, according to Marion police.

The fire hydrant was located at the T-intersection on the frontage road between FS Gas Station and Voyage Assisted Living Center east of town off of DeYoung Street.

The suspect was reported as being a white male, approximately 50 years of age, wearing glasses with a gray beard.
