Marion, IL woman arrested after drugs found in home

MARION, Ill. (KBSI) – A Marion woman faces charges after sheriff’s deputies found drugs and paraphernalia at a home in Lake of Egypt.

Theresa A. Wood was arrested.

Williamson County Sheriff’s Office deputies executed a search warrant at a home at 1302 Nicklaus Lane in Marion on Tuesday, October 10 at 11:04 p.m.

Deputies found methamphetamine, cannabis, drug paraphernalia, materials used in a grow operation, plants, and other drug related material on the property, according to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.

“The residents who live in this area are tired of the constant traffic and drug related activity,” said Williamson County Sheriff Diederich.

Wood was taken to the Williamson County Jail.

Additional charges are expected.
