Marion Police Department honors Officer, Dispatcher of the Year

MARION, Ill., (KBSI) — The City of Marion Police Department recognized two employees during a Marion City Council meeting Tuesday night, officials said.
Police Chief David Fitts presented awards to Detective Summar Albright, who was named Officer of the Year, and dispatcher Trever Williams, who was named Dispatcher of the Year.
Department officials said Albright was recognized for her dedication, investigative work and commitment to public service. Williams was honored for his ability to remain calm under pressure, make quick decisions and provide around-the-clock service to the community.
The department said the awards reflect the professionalism and high standards of its officers and staff.
