Marion teen arrested after rifle recovered in ISP investigation

MARION, Ill., (KBSI) — Illinois State Police Zone 7 agents have arrested an 18-year-old Marion man following a firearms investigation in Williamson County.

On Dec. 4, ISP special agents executed two residential search warrants — one in the 15000 block of Mollers Road in Marion and another in the 700 block of 7th Street in Herrin. During the searches, investigators recovered a rifle.

Keivaun Mann, 18, was taken into custody without incident.

The Carbondale Police Department, Herrin Police Department, ILEAS SRT, Southern Illinois Enforcement Group, Southern Illinois Drug Task Force and the Williamson County State’s Attorney’s Office assisted in the investigation.

Authorities note that the charge is not evidence of guilt. Mann is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
