Marion woman charged with theft, forgery, wire fraud

MARION, Ill. (KBSI) – A Marion woman faces theft, forgery and wire fraud charges.

AnnaMarie E. Cook of Marion faces charges of theft (over $100,000) (Class X Felony), forgery (Class 3 Felony) and wire fraud (Class 3 Felony).

Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant at a home in the 1400 block of Danielle Court of Marion at 8:55 a.m. on August 14.

Detectives say they identified a significant embezzlement scheme after an extensive investigation.

Cook was taken to the Williamson County Jail.
