Marshall County deputy teaches youth about drug prevention at Kentucky Sheriffs’ Ranch

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputy David Maddox recently spent time with campers at the Kentucky Sheriffs’ Boys and Girls Ranch, teaching them about the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of making positive life choices.

The sheriff’s office said Maddox spoke with youth about making healthy decisions and avoiding substance abuse while serving as a mentor and role model during the camp experience.

Officials praised Maddox for investing in young people and helping equip them with the tools needed to make responsible choices.

The Kentucky Sheriffs’ Boys and Girls Ranch provides educational and recreational opportunities for youth from across the commonwealth.
