Marshall County school resource officer recognized for pushing burning vehicle

BENTON, Ky. (KBSI) – The Marshall County Sheriff recognized the school resource officer in Benton, Kentucky for his quick actions when a vehicle caught on fire at a Benton school.
Sheriff Matt Hilbrecht recognized SRO Deputy Jason Ivy.
A vehicle in the student car rider pick up line caught on fire at South Marshall Elementary School on January 23.
Sheriff Hilbrecht says Deputy Ivy entered the buring vehicle, put it in neutral and pushed the vehicle away from students and the school building.
