Marshall County Sheriff’s Office asks for help finding man

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – Marshall County Sheriff’s deputies ask for the public’s help finding a man who was last seen lying in a road.

Wesley Augustino, 41, of Gilbertsville, Ky. was last seen by friends in the area Gilbertsville highway near the I-24 underpass before he went missing.

He was wearing a read t-shirt, dark sweatpants and barefoot.

Deputies were dispatched to Interstate 24 near the 28 mile marker just south of the Tennessee River bridge on Tuesday, December 26 just after 9 p.m.

Before deputies arrived, they received a second call about the male on the bridge walking east in the westbound lane.

When deputies arrived on scene, the saw a man on the should of the fast lane lying on the roadway near the top of the Tennessee River bridge.

After the deputies turned around and went to the area he was last seen, the male was gone.

A search and rescue mission immediately began on the Tennessee River for the person, but he had not been found.

The male is described as white with bald head. He was barefoot and last seen wearing blue jeans, green New Balance tennes shoes and a red plaid flannel jacket.
