Marshall County students tour Barkley Regional Airport, learn about aviation careers

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — Students from Marshall County High School’s Jobs for America’s Graduates program visited Barkley Regional Airport for a behind-the-scenes look at airport operations.

Airport officials said students heard from industry professionals across multiple areas, including airline operations, Transportation Security Administration screening, airport leadership and administration, airfield operations and Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting.

Students also learned about pilot training opportunities through 3 Degrees Flight School and pathways into aviation careers.

Airport staff and partners led the tour, sharing insight into daily operations and career opportunities in the aviation field.
