Mary Mingle 5K sees record breaking turnout

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The 4th Annual Mary Mingle 5K has already reached a record-breaking turnout this year.

The 4th Annual Mary Mingle 5K, is a festive holiday run/walk that supports the Community Counseling Center Foundation.
This year it is set to take place this Saturday, December 7th.

The 5K race will begin at 8:00 AM at Mary Janes Smokehouse and wind its way through downtown Cape, ending at Minglewood Brewery.

With a record number of participants already registered, this year’s event promises to be the biggest yet.
So far 313 participants are registered to compete.
The Mary Mingle 5K is more than just a race; this festive event is a fun-filled way to support mental health services in the community.
Proceeds from the race will directly support the Community Counseling Center Foundation, which provides essential mental health support to individuals and families in Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Madison, Perry, and Ste Genevieve counties.

Participants are encouraged to dress in their most festive attire and join in the holiday spirit.
Registration is $25 until December 3rd, December 4th to race day $35.00, snow, rain, or shine!
No refunds. Prizes will be awarded for the largest jolly posse and the most ridiculous holiday get-up; as well as 1st-3rd place age group awards in the form of Christmas ornaments.

The Community Counseling Center served approximately 7,000 individuals annually in the five-county service area in 2023. The Foundation’s support has a direct impact, helping countless individuals overcome challenges and build healthier lives.
