Mayfest 2026 dates, theme announced in Perryville

PERRYVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — Perryville Mayfest organizers have announced the official theme and dates for Mayfest 2026, which will be held May 6–9.

The event will kick off a series of community celebrations marking the nation’s 250th anniversary and will highlight local history, patriotism and hometown pride.

Several popular attractions are set to return, including the Bed Races. New events planned for 2026 include a mullet contest sponsored by First State Community Bank and a horseshoe tournament organized by Stephanie Vandeven. Organizers also announced plans for the largest carnival in the festival’s history.

Additional activities and events are expected to be announced ahead of the festival.

The official Mayfest 2026 logo, which will appear on festival merchandise, was designed by Vandeven.
