Mayfield Independent Schools wins $5,000 in T-Mobile competition

MAYFIELD, Ky., (KBSI) — Mayfield Independent Schools has won $5,000 through T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights competition, the district announced Monday.
The district was selected as a winner in the competition’s $5K Fridays sweepstakes.
Mayfield remains in the running for additional funding through the nationwide competition, which provides money to high schools for improvements to football fields and related facilities.
The district is asking community members to continue supporting Mayfield by sharing posts on social media and tagging Mayfield Schools, Mayfield High School and T-Mobile with the competition hashtags #FN5GL and #Entry.
The Friday Night 5G Lights program awards participating high schools funding for facility improvements, with larger prizes available as the competition continues.
