Mayfield man arrested for drug trafficking

GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KBSI) — A Mayfield man was arrested Friday afternoon for drug trafficking.

As a part of an undercover drug investigation, detectives with Graves County Sheriff’s office purchased crystal methamphetamine from 69-year-old Jeffery Blake of Mayfield, KY.

Detectives went to the area to locate and arrest Blake on an active warrant. As detectives located him, Blake knocked the police radio away as the detective asked for assistance, then ran into a wooded area. After a physical altercation, Blake was taken into custody and has been charged with trafficking methamphetamine, fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, and possession of controlled substances.
