Mayfield man facing drug charges after traffic stop

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Mayfield man faces drug charges after a traffic stop in Calloway County.

The driver, Zion Currin, 24, faces charges of possession of controlled substance 1st deg, 1st offense-methamphetamine (Class D felony), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies stopped a driver at Hwy 121N and Airport Road for traffic offenses around 7 p.m. on Friday, February 9.

Currin was found to be in possession of illicit drugs, according to Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies.

He was arrested and taken to the Calloway County Detention Facility.
