Mayfield man indicted on multiple sex offenses involving children

MAYFIELD, Ky. (KBSI) – A Mayfield man faces multiple sexual offense charges.

Paul West, 53 of Mayfield, was indicted by a grand jury on two counts of unlawful transaction with a minor 1st degree and five counts of sexual abuse 1st degree (victim under 12 years of age). Each of those are felonies. He was also indicted on two misdemeanor counts of voyeurism.

Kentucky State Police investigators initiated an investigation after receiving reports from multiple people accusing West of sexually abusing them when they where children.

into the allegations and investigators testified before a Graves County grand jury on Tuesday, Sept. 19.

West was arrested at his home on Wednesday September 20 and taken to the Graves County Jail where he posted bond soon after.

The investigation continues by Kentucky State Police.
