Mayfield police investigate shooting incident, juvenile arrested

MAYFIELD, Ky., (KBSI) — The Mayfield Police Department responded to a shooting incident on Feb. 26 at the intersection of South 12th Street and Hwy 45 South.

According to reports, a black SUV followed the victim’s vehicle and fired at least eight shots, striking the vehicle four times.

One female occupant suffered lacerations from flying glass and debris.

Following an investigation, police identified two suspects: a 19-year-old Mayfield man, who is being sought for questioning, and a 15-year-old Mayfield juvenile, who was arrested and charged with multiple counts, including assault and possession of a handgun by a minor.
