Mayfield police respond to injury crash

MAYFIELD, Ky., (KBSI) — Two drivers were injured Sunday, Aug. 24, in a two-vehicle collision at South Ninth Street and West Walnut, according to the Mayfield Police Department.
Investigators said a 2009 Hyundai Sonata driven by 45-year-old Susan Pugh was heading south on Ninth Street when a 2008 Nissan Titan, driven by 18-year-old Gabrielle Newberry, entered the intersection eastbound on Walnut and failed to yield the right of way. The vehicles collided in the intersection, partially blocking the roadway.
Both drivers were treated at the scene by Mayfield Fire & EMS and then transported by ambulance to Jackson Purchase Medical Center with suspected minor injuries.
Burl’s Towing assisted with removing the Nissan Titan from the roadway.
